Tandoori Chicken Tikka


    Chicken whole cut into four pieces - 1 Kilogram (cleaned, washed and drained)

    Ginger Garlic paste 1 tablespoon

    Curd/Yogurt cup

    Olive Oil 2 tablespoons

    Salt- As per taste

    Red Chili Powder 2 teaspoons

    Turmeric powder teaspoon

    Garam masala Powder- teaspoon

    Lemon Juice 1 tablespoon

    Kasuri Methi teaspoon

    Chat Masala teaspoon

    Red food colour few drops or teaspoon if in powdered form

    Corn flour 1 tablespoonful

    Papaya (optional) 1 tablespoon (for tenderizing)


    In a bowl prepare the marinade with all the ingredients mentioned. Give cuts on the chicken pieces so that the marinade reaches properly. Make sure the chicken is well drained. Apply the marinade to the chicken pieces and rub it well with your hands. Keep it aside for atleast 4-5 hours if not applying tenderizer and 2-3 hours if using tenderizer.

    Cook the pieces on lighted charcoal as barbeque or you can even pan grill them.

    Serve hot with green chutney.
